MY BACKGROUND
Richmond is my hometown through and through. I grew up right here and went to some fantastic schools along the way. Martin Luther King Elementary, Adams Middle School, and finally, John F. Kennedy High School, where I proudly graduated.
After high school, I pursued my passion for justice and community service by earning a BA in Administration of Justice from Howard University. But that's not all - my thirst for knowledge and my commitment to making a difference led me to also earn a BS in Religious Education from Southwestern Christian College.
From the get-go, I've been all about serving my community. It's been a lifelong dedication, and I'm excited to keep making a positive impact right here in Richmond.
MY EXPERIENCE
For the last 15 years, I've been at the forefront of ensuring safety at El Cerrito High School. Before that, I dedicated myself to supporting disadvantaged youth as a case manager. My journey started as an intake officer at the juvenile hall. Beyond my professional roles, I've actively contributed to my community, serving as the past president of both the Iron Triangle Neighborhood Council and the Richmond NAACP. Throughout my career, my passion has always been centered around protecting and advocating for children.
